From 15 – 26 June 2026, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) hosted the Main Event List/Main Incident List (MEL/MIL) Scripting Workshop for the upcoming exercise “GORDIAN KNOT 2026” (GOKN26) at its Headquarters in Thessaloniki.
Building on the outcomes of the Strategy Workshop and the Incident Development Workshop, the event marked a key milestone in the exercise planning process. Its primary objective was to transform the approved operational framework into detailed exercise scenarios, incidents, and injects, ensuring the Headquarters is fully prepared to execute its role as a Warfighting Corps Headquarters during GOKN26.
Throughout the two-week workshop, subject matter experts developed and synchronized exercise events within the Joint Exercise Management Module (JEMM), coordinated Opposing Forces (OPFOR) activities, and aligned all scripted content with the Exercise Training Objectives (TOs). Their collective effort helped ensure a realistic, coherent, and challenging exercise environment that accurately reflects the complexity of modern Multi-Domain Operations.
The workshop was further enhanced by the participation of augmentees from affiliated Hellenic Army formations and Response Cell representatives from external Headquarters, highlighting the strong cooperation, interoperability, and collective commitment that underpin NATO’s training and operational readiness.
The successful completion of the workshop represents another important milestone in the preparation of exercise ″GORDIAN KNOT 2026″ and reinforces NRDC-GR’s commitment to delivering realistic, high-quality collective training in support of NATO’s deterrence and defence posture.
