On Friday, 19 June 2026, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) successfully hosted its annual Family Day. The activity took place at the outdoor area of the War Museum of Thessaloniki, bringing together the Headquarters’ personnel, international officers, and their families.
The primary objective of the event was to strengthen community spirit, foster closer relationships within the international community of the HQ, and encourage cultural exchange. Highlighting the core motto “Together as One Family” the initiative underscored the profound importance of multinational cohesion, solidarity, and mutual support.
This year’s celebration integrated community bonding with social responsibility through its strong charitable focus. Participants, contributing individually, as families, or representing their respective national and branch groups, prepared a wide variety of traditional homemade dishes, sweets, and local delicacies from their home countries. All proceeds collected from the sales were fully donated to support a designated charitable and noble cause.
The event’s itinerary included opening remarks and a short briefing by the Leadership regarding the purpose of the charity drive, followed by informal social interaction, providing a wonderful opportunity for participants to experience the diverse cultural heritage and traditional tastes of the representing nations.
