On Friday, 19 June, 2026, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) Headquarters held a dignified ceremony to commemorate the National Day of the United Kingdom.
The ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Commander of NRDC-GR, Major General (MGEN) Mitko GRIGOROV, and attended by distinguished civil and military authorities. Among the official guests were the Honorary Consul of the UK, Mrs. Maria TSAKALI, the UK Defence Attaché, Captain Sam LAW RN, and the Consul General of France, Mr. Jean-Luc LAVAUD. Their presence, alongside NRDC-GR personnel, highlighted the strong bonds of partnership and excellent cooperation among Allies within the Headquarters’ multinational community.
Following the formal ceremony, a reception was hosted at the Headquarters’ premises. The gathering offered an outstanding opportunity for the distinguished guests and Headquarters’ personnel to engage in a warm and collegial setting, reaffirming the shared commitment of the Alliance nations to regional stability and collective defense.
