Major General (BGR A) Mitko Stefanov GRIGOROV

Background

Major General Mitko Stefanov GRIGOROV was born on the 10.12.1968 in Dobrich, Republic of Bulgaria. In 1991 he graduated from Vassil Levski Land Forces Academy (currently National Military University), majoring in Logistic Troops’ Command and Control. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into a second lieutenant and took up the position of company commander in POL base. In 1993, Major General Grigorov was appointed as an Assistant chief of account operations section at central supply base. Between 1994 and 2000 he was a Deputy Chief and Chief of Supply Base in Shumen. In 2003, following military career path, he graduated from “Rakovski Defence and Staff College” majoring in Operational and Tactical Command and Control of Logistic Units and Formations.

Between 2003 and 2012, he has held a variety of staff positions within the Bulgarian Armed Forces (BGR AF), namely Senior Assistant Chief of POL Branch at Resources and Technical Support Command and later on in the Logistic Directorate in the BGR General Staff.

MG Grigorov was completed the Defense Management Course in 2013 and subsequently the General Staff Course in the “Rakovski Defence and Staff College” in 2014.

In 2016 he was appointed as Director of Logistics Directorate within the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense and later on in 2018 he was promoted to brigadier general. During his military career path he has been decorated with miscellaneous awards as well as Decoration for distinguished service – 1st grade. 

MG Grigorov took up the post as Deputy Commander of NRDC-GR in August 2025.

MG Grigorov is fluent in English.

MG Grigorov is divorced with two daughters.
