From Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 June 2025, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) organized the annual “SIKINOS-25” Intelligence Seminar in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The seminar aims to enhance intelligence knowledge and understanding across NATO’s areas of interest, while also strengthening cooperation between NATO HQs and affiliated forces.
This year’s topic focused on “Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDTs): The significant challenges and emerging threats that NATO faces from disruptive technologies and innovations, in both conventional and hybrid methods of warfare.” The goal was to deepen awareness of the security landscape, identify potential threats to the Alliance, and assess the implications of EDTs on future stability.
More than 30 external participants and briefers attended from various NATO and non-NATO entities, including: National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), European Defence Agency (EDA), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Technical University of Crete, SHAPE, NCIA, NIFC, JFCNP, EUROCORPS, MNC-SE, Combined Forces Space Component Command, HTAF, NATO COEs (IAMD, HUMINT, CI, Space, CMDR), and NFIUs from Romania (ROU), Lithuania (LTU), Bulgaria (BGR), Slovakia (SVK), and Estonia (EST).
