NRDC-GR Hosts NATO GRF(L) HQs BOFOPO Conference 2026

The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) hosted the Graduated Readiness Forces (Land) Headquarters’ Budget, Fiscal and Personnel & Compensation Officers (BOFOPO) Conference at its Headquarters in Thessaloniki from 3 to 5 June 2026.

The annual conference brought together G8 representatives and Chiefs of Financial Sections from across the NATO GRF(L) community to exchange lessons learned, share best practices, and address current challenges in resource management and financial governance. The primary objective was to enhance coordination, improve budgetary processes, and promote common approaches across the Alliance.

Throughout the working sessions, dedicated panels focused on critical administrative and fiscal areas. Key topics included the Delegation of Financial Authority, the “Expenditure Financial Limits (EFLs) for Contracts” framework, the standardization of Mid-Year Review (MYR) documentation, and future hosting schedules for GRF BUDFIN conferences from 2028 onward.

The recommendations and technical proposals developed during the conference will contribute to the upcoming Finance Controllers (FINCONs) Conference in October and will subsequently support deliberations within the Senior Resource Committee (SRC) later this year.

By fostering collaboration and the exchange of expertise, the conference strengthened financial coherence, accountability, and interoperability across the NATO GRF(L) community, further enhancing the Alliance’s readiness and effectiveness.
