On Tuesday, 8 September 2026, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) hosted a ceremony at its Headquarters to commemorate the National Day of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The ceremony was presided over by the Commander of NRDC-GR, Lieutenant General Grigorios BOUNTLIAKIS, and attended by distinguished civilian and military authorities, including the Consul General of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Vasilcho DAMCESKI; the Consul General of France, Mrs. Cecile WALCK; the Consul General of the United States of America, Mr. Matt HAGENGRUBER; Brigadier General Lulzim NUREDINI, representing the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia; and Mr. Konstantinos KATSANOS, representing the Head of the Office of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thessaloniki.
Their presence, together with the multinational personnel of NRDC-GR, reflected the strong partnership, mutual trust, and close cooperation that characterize the Alliance.
The ceremony concluded with a reception at NRDC-GR Headquarters, providing an opportunity for guests and personnel to exchange views and further strengthen the spirit of cooperation and friendship within the multinational community.
