On Wednesday, 5 August 2026, a military promotion ceremony was held at the “Alexander the Great” Main Conference Room (MCR) at NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) Headquarters to mark the promotion of Romanian Army Captain Ana-Maria POP to the rank of Major (OF-3).
Major POP currently serves as Staff Officer WF&AUG within the G1/Support Division and as the Romanian Senior National Representative (SNR) at NRDC-GR Headquarters.
The ceremony was presided over by the Commander of NRDC-GR, Lieutenant General Grigorios BOUNTLIAKIS, who congratulated Major POP on her promotion and acknowledged her professionalism, dedication, and valuable contribution to the multinational Headquarters.
During the pinning ceremony, Lieutenant General BOUNTLIAKIS and Major POP’s husband affixed the new rank insignia in the presence of Headquarters’ personnel and members of the NRDC-GR leadership.
Following the ceremony, Major POP expressed her sincere appreciation to the NRDC-GR leadership, her colleagues, and her family for their support throughout her assignment at the Headquarters.
