On 16 and 17 September 2026, the annual Allied Command Operations J6 Conference (ACO J6 Conference) was held at NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) Headquarters, under the auspices of the SHAPE J6 Cyberspace Division.
The conference brought together senior J6 representatives from Commands and entities across the NATO Command Structure (NCS), alongside representatives from the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA). Discussions focused on the current status of Communication and Information Systems (CIS) across the Alliance, operational challenges facing ACO Commands, and future developments in communications and information technology, including the integration of emerging technologies.
On 18 September 2026, NRDC-GR also hosted the 5th Allied Command Operations Information Technology Modernization (ITM) Coordination Group Meeting, under the auspices of the SHAPE J6 Cyberspace Division. The meeting focused on the progress and further development of the ITM Programme across the Alliance. Participants included key representatives and technical personnel from J6 elements across the NATO Command Structure and other NATO entities, as well as NCIA specialists.
On the sidelines of the events, SHAPE Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) J6, Brigadier General Konstantinos KOKODROULIS, paid an office call on the Commander of NRDC-GR, Lieutenant General Grigorios BOUNTLIAKIS. During the meeting, they exchanged views on CIS integration, digital modernization, and ongoing efforts to strengthen digital resilience and Command and Control capabilities across NATO.
By hosting these events, NRDC-GR reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing interoperability, supporting technological modernization, and strengthening effective Command and Control capabilities in support of NATO’s deterrence and defence posture.
