A Change of Command Ceremony of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus and Macedonia (ASDIM) / NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) was held on Friday, 16 January, in Thessaloniki. The ceremony took place at the “Pedion Areos” Camp, where Lieutenant General (GRC A) Grigorios Boudliakis assumed command of the Headquarters (HQ) from Lieutenant General (GRC A) Athanasios Garinis, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Macedonia and Thrace, Konstantinos Gioulekas.
The ceremony was also honored by the presence of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis; the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis; the Inspector General of the Hellenic Army / EU–OHQ, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos; and retired NRDC-GR Commanders, as well as the religious, political, and military authorities of the city of Thessaloniki, Consuls from allied Contributing Nations, delegations from other NATO Headquarters, and other distinguished visitors.
