From Tuesday the 16th till Thursday the 18th of May 2023, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR), conducted the “MACHAON” Military Medical Seminar 2023. This 3-day seminar, was focused on Medical planning and Support to Major Joint Operations +, Military Medical Ethics and Patient Mobility.
The event was organized by GMED and NRDC-GR Chief of Staff, on behalf of the Commander welcomed all participants and highlighted the importance of this seminar, which is broading the medical knowledge, sharing best practices and enhancing capabilities, in order to tackle critical challenges that Medical Advisors need to address.
The seminar aimed at serving as useful platform for elaborating and deep diving on issues such as the evacuation procedures, the en-route care, the evacuation assets, the patient flow and tracking systems, the international evacuation cooperation, the patient information dissemination, the legal aspects of patient confidentiality and the evacuation training systems.
The seminar included distinguished briefers from the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC-NE), Multinational Medical Coordination Centre/ European Medical Command (MMCC/EMC), Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC), 111 Combat Wing-Hellenic Air Force, and NRDC-GR GMED and LEGAD, with the participation from other NATO entities, coming from EUROCORPS HQ/ PECC (FRA), NATO Force Integration Unit Romania (NFIU ROU), 1st German- Netherlands Corps (1st GNC), 350 Guided Missile Wing-Hellenic Air Force, Military Academy of Combat Support Officers (SASS) and Hellenic Military Nursing Academy (SAN).
