NRDC-GR Celebrates Hellenic National Day

        On Wednesday 23nd  of March 2022, an official ceremony for the Hellenic National Day took place in NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) HQ, in commemoration of the Hellenic revolution on the 25th of March 1821.

       The ceremony was honored with the presence of the Commander of NRDC-GR, Lieutenant General (GRC A) Sotirios KOASTAKOGLOU, Consuls of the participating Nations to the HQ, Commanders and Representatives from NRDC-GR Affiliated Units along with the entire HQ staff.

       The Commander of NRDC-GR during his speech, provided a brief background of the Greek revolution for independence and the meaning of the national flag. Concluding, he highlighted the values and ideals of those who fought back in 1821, as well as the importance of the revolution, which not only resulted in Greece’s regeneration but also inspired other nations to fight for their freedom.

     The ceremony concluded with a small reception that took place at HQ premises. During the event, all the respective COVID-19 pandemic protocols were implemented and the protective measures were followed.
