From Monday the 9th until Friday the 13th of May 2022, in the context of the Exercise “GORDIAN KNOT 2022” (GOKN22), NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Greece (NRDC-GR) conducted the Main Event list/Main Incident List workshop 2 (MEL/MIL WS2), at the premises of “PEDION AREOS” Camp in Thessaloniki.
The aim of this training was to draft the key storylines that will be used during the execution phase of the exercise. MEL/MIL includes storylines, events and incidents, designed to challenge the Training Audiences’ (TAs) decision-making process, triggering decisions and activities, that will enable them to achieve the Exercise and Training Objectives (EOs and TOs).
The MEL/MIL WS2 was conducted with the contribution of the Multinational Corps South-East (MNC-SE) and NRDC-GR’s personnel from 4 different nations (Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy), along with personnel provided by the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS) and the Hellenic Army/Navy/Air Force General Staffs. MEL/MIL WS2 was a valuable interaction, including exchange of ideas and proposals between participants, sharing of experiences and resulted in a successful and productive outcome.
During the entire process, the valid COVID-19 protocols were implemented and the protective measures were followed.
