Born in 1968 and brought up in Thessaloniki, Greece; he graduated from the Greek Military Academy in 1991 and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant in the Artillery.

After having completed the artillery training and courses BGEN KAZAKIS was assigned to various commanding and staff posts in different Units and HQs around Greece. He served as commander of sort and middle range air defense Batteries, air defense Hawk Battalion and artillery Battalion.

His staff assignments include S2, S3 in Brigade HQs and International Affairs Staff Officer at Corps HQ.

His NATO experience started as OF3 in MNTFN (BOSNIA) as collection Manager and Open sources officer in G2, continued with his first assignment in HQ NDC-GR in G3 AIR as Air Defense Staff Officer. Later being an OF4, he served as Chief Psyops in G3.

Being already Colonel in 2017, he started a second tour in HQ NRDC-GR and was assigned as Influence Chief Section and Deputy G3 ACOS until 2019, then he took over as ACOS FIRES AND TARGETING for a year in this post.

Since 2020 he assigned as Artillery Commander and DCOS OPS in national HQs.

In January 2023 he promoted to Brigadier General and was assigned the duties of the DCOS SUPPORT of the HQ.

His military education includes Artillery basic and advanced courses, the Staff Officers Course, the War College and the National Defense Course. Moreover he has attended numerous NATO courses with the most important being the Operations Planning Course.

He speaks English and he is married to Antonia Diloudi who works as a chemical teacher to a secondary school. They have four children, Maria ( 28), Iliana (25), Thomas (21) and Evi (17).

Brigadier KAZAKIS enjoys hiking, running and swimming.
